Aryabhatta is an ancient Genius. Aryabhatta came to this world on 476 A.D. He wrote his famous treaties the ‘‘AryabhattaSidhanta’’ but more famously the ‘‘Aryabhatta’’ the only work to have survived. It contains mathematical and astronomical theories that have been revealed to be quite accurate in modern mathematics. For instance he wrote that,

if 4 is added to 100 then multiplied by 8 and added to 62,000 then divided by 20,000 the answer will be equal to the circumference of a circle of diameter tweenty thousand. This calculates to 3.1416 close to the actual value of Pi [3.1416], but his greatest contribution has to be zero. His other works include algebra, arithmetic, trigonometry, quadratic equations and his sine table.
He already knew that the earth spins on its axis, the earth moves round the sun and the moon rotates round the earth. He talks about the position of the planets in relations to its movement around the sun. He refers to the light of the planets and the moon as a reflection from the sun. He goes as far as to explain the ellipse of the moon and the sun, day and night, the contours of the earth, the length of the year exactly as 365 days.
He even computed the circumference of the earth is 24835 miles which is close to modern day calculation of 24900 miles. This remarkable man was genius and continues to battle many mathematicians of today. His work way then later adopted by the Greeks and then the Arabs.
As a mark of respect to this great son of India, ARYABHATTA SCIENCE ACADEMY was started after his name to establish a new revolution and technology in this part of Assam in 2016.
Considering the long left need of a science academy empowering quality education and skill development along with the purpose of including the basic human values among the young generation, ARYABHATTA ACADEMY was established. Later on the need of an Institution for quality education for arts students was noticed and from the current academic year Arts stream is also started. Hence, Aryabhatta Science Academy became ARYABHATTA IDEAL ACADEMY to provide quality education for both Science & Arts background students . This institution is run by RastriyaGraminSikshaSamiti(RGSS), an NGO.

Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate its students to be lifelong learners and critical thinkers of an ever changing global society. that is a matter of pride that my first message to be recorded in the Prospectus of ARYABHATTA IDEAL ACADEMY, Goreswar.

It gives me great satisfaction that the institution is progressing in all its endeavors towards the overall development and personality of the students. I took up the responsibility as the Principal of this prestigious educational institution in the beginning of last year. I am quite satisfied with the cooperation and warm welcome rendered to me by the parents, dedicated staff and my loving students. Therefore I take this as an occasion to express my deep feelings of gratitude towards all of you. I assure you that I will give my best to bring up the all round development of all the students of this institution. However, after taking-over the charge/Portfolio of Principal, it is obviously known to me that this Academy, indeed, is named after name of a vatern - Paragon human being "Aryabhatta" who had born in 476 A. D. spontaneously. So, I ought to devote the portrait of the same. From the original meaning of the word "Aryabhatta" I may kindly be confirmed that this institution would be able to carry remarkable and quality - growth institution in Greater Goreswar Region Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate its students to be lifelong learners and critical thinkers of an ever changing global society. The aims and objective of any educational institution must be to instill in the students genuine human and spiritual values, a genuine concern for the welfare of others and commitment to truth and Justice and last but not the least academic excellence and all round development of one’s personality to meet situations in life.
